Since its inception in 2019, AEW has come a long way and has made significant improvements in various aspects of its operations. The organization continues to make changes to enhance its offerings to fans. One of the notable successes of AEW was the Forbidden Door event, which proved to be a major success in many respects last year. Now it seems the second iteration is already close to a sellout with pre-sale tickets.

AEW held their Forbidden Door pay-per-view last year, and it was certainly a resounding success. It was a financial success and also featured several excellent matches, from the top to the bottom of the card.

The Scotiabank Centre in Toronto will host the second Forbidden Door event on June 25th. This will be another big opportunity for Tony Khan’s company to show off his partnership with NJPW.

According to Wrestle Tix, tickets for the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view are selling like hotcakes. It was noted how tickets were seeing out rapidly in all the upper and lower decks.

Tickets appear to be moving really fast. They just opened up the lower bowls on the hard cam side.

As far as capacity goes, the Scotiabank Centre in Toronto has a maximum capacity of 19,800. However, it was noted that for pro wrestling events, fans should expect the capacity to be somewhere between 13,000 to 15,000.

And for those wondering about the setup/capacity, it’s the same as most NBA/NHL sized arenas. With the modern wrestling setup, you can utilize 13-15,000. Don’t expect 18-20K with the current stage of either company.

It remains to be seen the event pans out. The first Forbidden Door outing was a massive hit with fans, from both companies, and many wrestlers would like a chance to be on the second card as well.

What’s your take on Tony Khan holding another Forbidden Door event? Are you glad it’s selling out so fast? Sound off in the comments!
