WWE Never Paid For Chris Jericho’s Travel Expenses

Chris Jericho is unquestionably seasoned veteran in the world of professional wrestling, with a career spanning more than three decades. Jericho has worked for several promotions like WWE, ECW, and WCW and is very conscious of his own value in the company because of his vast experience. However, he recently made a big revelation in regard to Vince McMahon’s global juggernaut.

The debate started with Dave Meltzer taking a shot at AEW for taking care of only the international expenses of their stars and not domestic ones. This prompted Tony Khan to give a befitting reply to him on Twitter about his yearly investments in hotel stays and travel.

“That’s false Dave. Your statement’s true about other companies but doesn’t apply at all to AEW AEW invests millions of dollars every year on very good quality hotel rooms + safe transport to take care of our wrestlers. It’s a huge investment I make on hotels weekly #AEWRampage.”

AEW veteran Chris Jericho further elevated the debate by sharing his own experience on Twitter. The Ucho claimed that AEW has been the only company that has paid for his transportation and hotel stay since 1996 when he worked for Paul Heyman.

“For the record,

@aew is the ONLY North American wrestling company I’ve worked for that has paid for my transportation & hotels consistently for EVERY show I’ve worked for them, since 1996 when Paul E paid for my rooms at the crack hotel in Philly.

This clearly means that WWE never paid for Chris Jericho’s expenses on the road. Jericho came to WWE in August 1999 and in his tweet, he clearly mentioned that his expenses had not been taken care of since 1996.

It is shocking to learn of the dissatisfactory treatment given by the biggest wrestling company to a legend like Chris Jericho. However, the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla looks to be content with his stay in AEW and will most likely hang up his boots there when he believes that it is time for him to go.
