CM Punk’s run in WWE came to a shocking conclusion after the Royal Rumble in 2014 when he was frustrated with the company, leading him to simply walk out. He didn’t compete in a ring for seven years until his AEW debut in 2021. He faced off against top stars such as The Undertaker. Now it seems The Deadman has denied having any beef with Punk.

In 2013, CM Punk suffered a shocking loss to The Rock at the Royal Rumble. Seeking to bounce back, he set his sights on the monumental task of defeating The Undertaker and breaking his undefeated WrestleMania streak.

However, his bad luck continued, and he lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28. While some speculated that this outcome may have caused real-life animosity between Punk and The Undertaker, the WWE Hall of Famer has spoken out to set the record straight.

According to The Undertaker, he and Punk worked together exceptionally well, and he felt no animosity towards him. In an interview with Inside The Ropes, The Undertaker made it clear he had no beef with Punk.

“He was great to work with. I’m very proud of that match. We sat down and we thought about ideas and everything. It was great. I had no beef with Punk, he was always business with me. Hopefully, I was with him [too].

He was good with me, and that’s all that matters. Business is business, whatever’s best for business…Everybody thinks they’re an expert but they really have no clue. It’s ridiculous online. Business has always been business, and [Punk] was always business with me.”

In conclusion, while some may have thought that The Undertaker’s victory over Punk at WrestleMania 28 may have caused real-life tension between the two, The Undertaker has spoken out to deny this. Instead, he praised Punk as a great person to work with and emphasized that their working relationship was always professional and business-focused.
