Shawn Michaels has taken to social media to update fans on the health of NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. Following her title defense against Meiko Satomura at NXT Roadblock, Perez collapsed and there has been concern about her health ever since.
In the update, Michaels said that Perez’s health is still in question and it is unclear if she will be able to compete at NXT Stand & Deliver. As a result, Michaels made the decision to announce that the NXT Women’s Title will be contested in a ladder match at the upcoming event.
As of Friday Morning Roxanne Perez was discharged from the hospital. However after numerous tests Roxanne’s health is still in question. With Stand and Deliver in less than three weeks I have the obligation to announce we possibly have to crown a New NXT Women’s Champion.
Starting tonight there will be a series of qualifying matches with the winners advancing to Stand and Deliver to compete to become the NXT Women’s Champion in a Ladder Match.
Qualifying matches for the ladder match will take place starting on this week’s episode of NXT. Fans will have the opportunity to see some of the top women’s competitors in NXT battle it out for a chance to compete for the championship in the ladder match.
While the news of the ladder match has been met with excitement from fans, there is still concern about Perez’s health and when she will be able to return to competition. It is unknown when she will be cleared to compete, and fans are eagerly awaiting updates on her condition.
NXT Stand & Deliver is set to take place on April 7th and 8th, and with the NXT Women’s Title now up for grabs in a ladder match, fans can expect an extra level of excitement and anticipation for the event.
