Naomi is a true veteran in WWE’s women’s division with many accolades under her belt, such as the SmackDown Women’s Championship. However, she hasn’t been in WWE since May 2022. In fact, WWE had scrapped championship plans for Naomi.

Earlier reports suggested that Naomi was still weighing her decision regarding WWE return. It was later reported that Naomi is set to appear at Wrestle Kingdom 17 alongside Sasha Banks.

While Banks debuted in NJPW as Mercedes Mone and immediately made an impact, Naomi has yet to do anything in the meantime, except for the fact she changed up her look while ago.

Ariane Andrew made a surprising return to WWE during the 2022 Royal Rumble match. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Andrew was eliminated before Naomi even entered the match, so fans were disappointed that they didn’t get to see a complete in-ring reunion of The Funkadactyls.

While speaking during a virtual signing with Golden Ring Collectibles, According to Ariane Andrew, shortly after the 2022 Royal Rumble, she received a call from WWE regarding plans to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Naomi.

”2022 for me was not one of my best years. You’re gonna get tea… So I’m gonna give all the goodies… I’ve shared this but I think the more I can share, the better.

So I did the Royal Rumble… and then two days after, lost my dad, got called back to come back to WWE to get the Tag Team Titles with Naomi and then Thursday, they were (like), never mind, girl.

Naomi and I were talking about gear.”

Naomi is recovering from shoulder injury. It remains to be seen when or if Naomi is going to make a return to WWE. Until then, we wish her a speedy recovery. For more updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
