WWE released a number of great wrestlers, in the name of budget cuts, in recent years. Although FTR was let go by WWE, it was something they wanted. They can look back on it, it becomes clear that they already had a course of action in mind and jump shipped to AEW. What comes as an even big shocker is that Triple H did not view them as his guys back in NXT.

FTR has had a number of noteworthy bosses, including Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Vince McMahon, and now Tony Khan. They have certainly had a taste of a variety of leadership styles in the business.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have put on show-stopping tag team fights for years across a variety of promotions in their careers. That being said, they haven’t always been seen as the “top guys” they claim to be, back in the WWE days.

In recent interview with “Inside The Ropes,” Dax Harwood discussed the topic of his team, then known as the Revival in NXT. Moreover, he also elaborated days on his relationship with Triple H during those days, when he was in charge of NXT.

“I always knew, or at least had a hunch that we were not Hunter guys,” Harwood said. “Even when we were at our peak in ‘NXT,’ we weren’t Hunter guys. For example, the two out of three falls match we had with DIY — which has now gone down as maybe one of the greatest tag matches in WWE history — but Hunter, and I don’t think I’ve ever told this, but Hunter wanted that to be a two-straight fall win for DIY. We had to fight for it to get two falls to one.”

Dax Harwood’s statement indicates the fact that Triple H did not see The Revival as a force to be reckoned with. When both Dax and Tomasso Ciampa were injured, Triple H called only Ciampa to check on him and not Harwood, even though he was not expecting it.

Despite all of that, Dax Harwood also made reference to FTR maybe rejoining WWE in the future. We will have to wait and see what happens for the dynamic duo. In the meantime, keep it tuned here with Ringside News for more.
