WWE has a custom of sending title belts to champions in other sports. The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year, and that came with a lot of celebrating. WWE also had a hand in those festivities.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE is very happy about the extra exposure that their title belt got during the Super Bowl festivities. After all, Patrick Mahomes rocked that title belt proudly and let everyone see the company’s iconic logo on many mainstream markets.

As you can imagine, WWE sources we spoke to were very happy with the publicity they received from the Super Bowl, specifically Patrick Mahomes wearing the belt everywhere. I’m positive that they would have preferred Joe Burrow and that absolutely isn’t sour grapes.

WWE always has representation during Super Bowl parades, thanks to their title being in the mix. This year presented an interesting situation if the Jacksonville Jaguars made it to the big game, but the Jags lost and WWE didn’t have to worry about sending a title belt to Tony Khan’s team.

We’ll have to see if the XFL gets in the mix and receives a custom title from WWE for their champions whenever The Rock’s new incarnation of the leagues wraps up their first season. In the meantime, keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
