The SmackDown Tag Team Championship have been in the possession of The Usos for the past 565 days. Tonight, a new team earned the right to challenge the brothers for their titles.

Tonight’s edition of the blue brand opened with a SmackDown Tag Team Title Contenders Tournament Finals between Braun Strowman and Ricochet and Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci).
Ricochet pinned Kaiser following an assisted swanton bomb. They will square off against defending champions The Usos for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship next week on SmackDown.
Strowman and Ricochet defeated Hit Row (Top Dolla and Ashante Adonis) to advance to the finals last week on WWE SmackDown. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci beat Legado Del Fantasma in the second semifinals.
Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were originally supposed to wrestle Hit Row, but voluntarily forfeited the match after a sneak attack by The Viking Raiders last week on SmackDown. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more.
