The professional wrestling community has experienced a number of unfortunate events in the year 2023 so far. This can include the loss of prominent figures in the industry, changes in the management of wrestling organizations, and other such events that have impacted the industry negatively. Unfortunately. Lanny Poffo is the latest person in pro wrestling who passed away this year. Now the pro wrestling world has reacted to his passing.
As previously reported, Hacksaw Jim Duggan broke the news via Facebook that Lanny Poffo has passed away. Poffo was only 68 years old and clearly had a lot more to give to the world.
To the surprise of no one, the pro wrestling world has already reacted to Lanny Poffo’s shocking demise. This includes tweets from the likes of Tommy Dreamer, Virgil, The Iron Sheik and many more.

Lanny Poffo, younger brother of the legendary Randy “Macho Man” Savage, was a well-known figure in the professional wrestling world. He was recognized for his acrobatic wrestling style and his signature poetry recitations. With a career that spanned several decades from the 70s to the 2000s, Lanny Poffo was a constant presence in major wrestling promotions such as the WWF and WCW.
The pro wrestling world truly suffered a great loss and a huge void has now been left in the hearts of many. We offer our deepest condolences to Lanny Poffo’s family and friends during this sad time. RIP.
