WWE Royal Rumble Backstage Atmosphere Was ‘Very Laid Back’

The 2023 Royal Rumble event will go down in history as one of the greatest in recent memory. From start to finish, the show kept the fans on the edge of their seats as expected. Throughout the show, we got to witness a plethora of surprise returns to the company. Although we are a couple of days removed from the Premium Live Event, fans are still buzzing at what transpired during the show.

Since Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s big four Premium Live Events, the backstage atmosphere is expected to be quite stressful before the show. However, that wasn’t the case this time around with Triple H in charge.

Fightful Select is reporting that the backstage atmosphere for the show was “very laid back.” It was also noted that the children of several wrestlers were backstage having fun.

“One source called the Royal Rumble backstage experience “very laid back” and noted that the children of many wrestlers were backstage having fun,”

Cody Rhodes returned at the Royal Rumble and entered at the coveted number 30 spot. After lasting 15 minutes, he was finally able to eliminate Gunther to win his main event spot at WrestleMania.

On the women’s side, Rhea Ripley entered the Royal Rumble match in the number 1 spot and outlasted 29 other women to win the match and punch her ticket to WrestleMania. All in all, it was a good night for WWE and they apparently enjoyed themselves backstage.

While we know who Cody Rhodes will target at WrestleMania, it will be interesting to see who Rhea Ripley chooses to challenge at the Show of Shows. Stay tuned to Ringside News for live coverage of RAW.
