Cody Rhodes Wins WWE Men’s Royal Rumble Match

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE to win the the title that alluded his father Dusty Rhodes. Tonight, The American Nightmare officially booked his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes made his in-ring return from injury during the Men’s Royal Rumble match tonight. The American Nightmare entered at number 30, and immediately entered into a brawl with Seth Rollins.

The two even worked together to eliminate several opponents. Logan Paul, who made his return at the event, shocked everyone when he eliminated Rollins. Logan worked up the crowd after the elimination.

Cody Rhodes took advantage of the distraction to eliminate The Maverick. The American Nightmare then focused his attention on GUNTHER, who had entered the match at number one.

Rhodes and GUNTHER battered each other with chops before the Ring General hoisted him on the turnbuckle. GUNTHER targeted Cody’s chest as well. Rhodes hit GUNTHER with a cutter.

The American Nightmare paid tribute to his brother Dustin Runners too. Cody hit another Cross Rhodes and eliminated the WWE Intercontinental Champion with a clothesline.

Cody Rhodes had been the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match in the entire buildup to tonight’s show. He finally picked up the biggest win to date of his career tonight,
