It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

Rey Mysterio vs Karrion Kross

Our opening match begins with a lock up and Kross shoving Mysterio across the ring. Mysterio gets momentum with a huricanrana but Kross fires back with a big lariat. Kross throws Mysterio out of the ring and follows outside but Mysterio manages to throw Kross to the ring post.

*Commercial break*

SmackDown returns live with Kross hitting Mysterio with a back breaker. Kross tries to rip off Mysterio’s mask in the corner but Mystero fights him off with elbows. Kross goes for a corner spear but Mysterio dodges causing Kross to crash shoulder-first to the ring post. Mysterio hits Kross with the 619 and hits the splash and covers for a two count. Kross hits a fisherman’s suplex and goes for another but Mysterio counters with a crucifix pin for the three count.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

SmackDown returns live with United States Champion Austin Theory in the ring, who starts his promo with “The champ is here” Theory says that he is going straight to the Royal Rumble where he will win the Royal Rumble. Theory is interrupted by The New Day making their way out.

Kofi Kingston says there’s only three Austin’s he respects, Austin Creed, “Stone Cold Steve, and Austin, Texas”. Woods says that unlike Theory on Raw, on SmackDown they need to get to business immediately. The New Day laugh at the idea of Theory winning the Royal Rumble, and say that one of them will win the Royal Rumble, and when one of them wins, they all win. Next to interrupt this segment is The Miz.

The Miz comes out and says that he has been competing in Royal Rumble matches since before Theory hit puberty. Miz says that he will win the one thing in this industry he never has, the Royal Rumble match. Miz and Theory attack The New Day as Bobby Lashley then runs out to the ring and Lashley proceeds to destroy everybody in the ring, with the ring cleared, Lashley grabs the mic and says he’s going to terrorize everyone in the Royal Rumble match. From out of the crowd emerges Brock Lesnar, who runs in the ring and hits Lesnar with an F5, and Lesnar then announces he will see Lashley in the Royal Rumble match.

Lacey Evans vs Jazmin Allure

The match begins with Evans throwing Allure across the ring to total apathy from the crowd, Evans shows off her dominance by repeatedly smashing Allure’s head to the corner. Allure gets a quick roll up to a huge pop from the crowd for a two count. Evans hits the woman’s right and locks in the Cobra Clutch and Allure taps out.

Winner: Lacey Evans

Ash Sheamus and Dre McIntyre are making their way out to the ring for their match they are attacked by The Viking Raiders who attack them from behind. Ivar hits a running splash to Sheamus against the barricade and then hits another to McIntyre.

SmackDown returns with Hit Row in the ring and Adam Pearce, Pearce announces that Sheamus and McIntyre have forfeited their position in the tournament, but rather than Hit Row advancing, they must face a replacement team, and out come Braun Strowman and Ricochet, which is wildly unfair to Hit Row and ruins the integrity of the tournament as a whole which Wade Barrett address on commentary, and Michael Cole says “stop bringing logic into this and just have fun”, well said, Michael.

Hit Row vs Braun Strowman & Ricochet

This ridiculously-made match begins with Ashante and Ricochet in a lock up. Ricochet hits an enziguri to Top Dolla and off the distraction Ashante runs up and hits a drop kick. Top Dolla holds Ricochet’s head in place on the ropes and Ashante hits a running knee to the back of the head. Ashante hits a back breaker and taunts to the crowd which allows Ricochet to get a roll up for two. Ricochet flips out of a back breaker and tags Strowman in. Strowman hits Top Dolla with a lariat and hits Ashante with a back body drop. Ricochet takes out Top Dolla with a dive over the top rope and Strowman hits the power bomb and covers for the three count to send Strowman and Ricochet to the tournament finals while only having to win one match against a team that wasn’t expecting to go against them. Did I mention Strowman and Ricochet are the baby faces here?

Winners: Braun Strowman & Ricochet

SmackDown returns with Bray Wyatt’s original theme song playing, as the crowd’s fireflies illuminate the arena, out comes LA Knight in his freshest ugly Hawaiian shirt and a comically small lantern. Knight gets in the ring and takes off his Bray Wyatt cosplay gear. Knight says that Bray Wyatt has 24 hours until the Pitch Black match at Royal Rumble, Knight says he wants Wyatt to take all the advice he got from Undertaker and come out dressed as whichever version of himself he wants… The lights go out and Bray Wyatt appears sitting on a rocking chair on top of the ramp. Wyatt says that tomorrow night, LA Knight will finally meet the man he’s been looking for. Wyatt says that when the lights go out, “you’ll see” The camera cuts to the crowd where we see Uncle Howdy surrounded by smoke.

Legado Del Fantasma vs Imperium

The match begins with Wilde and Kaiser in the ring with a lock up. Wilde goes for a DDT but Kaiser counters with a strong right hand and Vinci tags in. Wilde flips out of a suplex and tags Del Toro in who hits a knife-edge chop. Vinci catches a kick and plants Del Toro with a vicious lariat. Kaiser tags back in and Del Toro goes for a dive but is countered with an uppercut by Kaiser. Del Toro hits an enziguri and tags Wile in who hits Vinci with a beautiful arm drag after springing off the top rope.

The match continues live with Kaiser hitting a strong right hand to Wilde. Kaiser hits a snap suplex. Wilde springboards off the middle rope and hits a big tornado DDT. Del Toro and Vinci both tag in and Del Toro hits a huricanrana. Del Toro hits a double missile drop kick to take out both Kaiser nd Wilde. The crowd pops huge for the lucha libre offense and are fully behind Del Toro as he hits a huricanrana and Wilde tags in to hit a big springboard frog splash and cover but Kaiser dives in to break it up. Vinci and Wilde meet each other on the top rope and Vinci slams Wilde off the top rope and tags Kaiser in and Vinci and Kaiser hit the imperial bomb and Kaiser covers for three.

Winners: Imperium

Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa

Our main event begins with the two immediately exchanging strikes. Owens and Sikoa take turns hitting shoulder tackles as neither man gains an advantage at first. Owens follows Sikoa outside of the ring and Sikoa slams Owens to the barricade.

Our main event continues live with Owens avoiding a running corner splash. Owens hits an inverted atomic drop and follows with a lariat. Owens hits a DDT and covers for a two count. Owens goes to the top rope but Sikoa stops hit with an uppercut. Sikoa climbs to the top rope but is hit with a headbutt and an elbow to send him back to the mat. Owens hits a frog splash and covers but Sikoa kicks out at two. Owens hits a super kick and Sikoa immediately responds with a super kick of his own, Sikoa counters a stunner and hits a Samoan drop and covers for two. Owens dodges a corner splash and hits another super kick and Owens follows up with a cannon ball in the corner. Owens hits a swanton from off the top rope and covers but Sami Zayn runs in to pull Sikoa out of the ring, which aparently ends the match despite the ref never officially calling for the bell.

Owens runs out of the ring and Owens dodges a super kick causing Zayn to accidentally get hit by Sikoa’s kick. Sikoa grabs a chair and hits Owens with it, the ref is staring right at this and does nothing. Sikoa dives off the barricade but is hit with a super kick, Owens then hits a pop-up power bomb on to the announce table. Owens grabs a chair and teases hitting Sami Zayn before hitting Sikoa.
