WWE Considers Bray Wyatt The #1 Babyface On SmackDown

Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE brought a lot of excitement from fans. Now that he is back, WWE is doing everything they can to keep up that momentum. It turns out that they have a lot of faith in Wyatt’s character at this point, because he is slotted as the #1 good guy on the SmackDown brand.

Bray Wyatt’s storyline with Uncle Howdy is continuing, and it’s anyone’s guess how Alexa Bliss will factor into things. At this point, Bray Wyatt’s segments are seen as a featured part of the show, no matter which brand he appears for.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up WWE’s current plan for Bray Wyatt. It seems that the company pegged him in a very high spot internally.

“I don’t think so. It’s possible. Bray is considered the number one babyface on SmackDown. He is the biggest-slotted star that Roman has not worked with, but I also don’t know…Roman also knows that people who work with Bray always look a lot worse than going in,” Meltzer stated.

We’ll have to see if WWE books Bray Wyatt vs Roman Reigns again eventually. Right now, the best idea is probably to keep those two huge characters apart from each other for as long as they possibly can.

Vince McMahon was working on Bray Wyatt’s return to the company even before he “retired.” Triple H is now responsible for making sure that Wyatt’s creative direction is a strong one, and it appears that they are thinking outside the box, as usual, with his character.
