Ronda Rousey made her highly-anticipated return to WWE during the 2022 Royal Rumble event, and quickly made an impact by winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship. However, fans quickly turned on her due to issues with the way her character was being booked by WWE. Many felt that her portrayal was not consistent with her previous performances and did not live up to expectations. With the Royal Rumble set to take place next week, it seems Ronda Rousey won’t be wrestling at the event.

The Baddest Woman On The Planet dropped the Smackdown Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair, which turned out to be quite a shocking result. This marked Flair’s shocking return to WWE.

Ronda Rousey was previously advertised for the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. However, according to a report behind Fightful’s paywall, despite featuring on some initial graphics for the event, Ronda Rousey is not actually currently scheduled for an appearance at the Royal Rumble.

In addition, we’re told that as of last week, Ronda Rousey actually wasn’t planned for the Royal Rumble PPV, at the time she lost the title, which can clearly change. Until December, Rousey was scheduled for the show in a singles match.

The report stated that Ronda Rousey’s absence from the women’s Royal Rumble match was not a new development, as there were apparently no plans for her to participate in the match. Instead, it is suggested that she was expected to be involved in some other capacity at the event.

It is important to note that plans in professional wrestling are often subject to change, and it is possible that Rousey’s role at the event could still be altered. Last week, it was noted that there were no plans for Rousey for the Ronda Rousey.

We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Rousey. She previously noted going after the Women’s Tag Team Titles, so perhaps that might be her direction soon.
