Tony Khan Rewarded Talent With Match On AEW Rampage

AEW has several hours of television time that they need to fill every week, and Tony Khan can also reward talent for their hard work by giving them a bigger focus. That is what happened for Willie Mack this week.

Willie Mack lost a match to Brian Cage during the January 11th episode of AEW Dark. That match impressed several people, including Tony Khan.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Tony Khan rewarded Willie Mack with a match this week. That came after his match this week on AEW Dark went over so well.

“The deal here is that they had a match on one of the streaming shows this week that was really good apparently, so Tony wanted to do it again, this time on television.”

“And also because Brian Cage is wrestling Bryan Danielson (next week on Dynamite), so Brian Cage getting a win on Rampage to build that up makes all the sense in the world.”

We will have to see how it all turns out when Rampage airs their show this Friday. Willie Mack has a lot to offer any pro wrestling company he works for, and he will have a big chance to prove that this week.
