The wrestling world lost an all-time great in Jay Briscoe. The tag team specialist passed away in a car accident on Tuesday. His untimely passing led to outpouring of support and prayers on social media.
The car accident was far worse than what had originally been revealed. Jay Briscoe’s daughter was also believed to be in the wreck, and she was referred to as a “critical pediatric” in the emergency medical services log.
AEW star Chris Jericho took to Twitter and asked fans to pray for Jay Briscoe’s family in the wake of the terrible incident. The former AEW World Champion pleaded with fans and said the situation is “worse than you think.”

Jay Briscoe’s daughter’s school announced that they will be observing the day off tomorrow, Wednesday, in the wake of the tragedy that has hit the Briscoe family. The administration noted that the school will re-open on Thursday.
The Briscoe family is facing an incredibly tough time right now. Our thoughts go out to them, and anyone else connected with this deeply disturbing event.
