Sami Zayn Says He Wouldn’t Be Where He Is Without The Briscoe Brothers

Jay Briscoe passed away at 38-years-old in a terrible car accident early Tuesday evening. He was not the only person in the wreck, as another woman reportedly died at the scene as well. Briscoe’s daughter was also believed to have been in the wreck, and she was transported to the hospital in critical condition. This is a sad time for the entire pro wrestling world, especially those who knew Jay Briscoe personally.

Sami Zayn was one of many people from the pro wrestling community to send out a tribute to Jay Briscoe. Sami Zayn’s words were a bit more personal than others, as he credited the Briscoe Brothers for helping his career in a huge way.

I don’t have the words right now to properly convey my sorrow. I love Jay & Mark Briscoe. Always have. I wouldn’t be here without them. I’m very lucky to have shared the ring & shared so many laughs with Jay Briscoe and I’m so sad to know neither will happen again. RIP my friend.
