Bobby Lashley restored the prestige of the United States during his last run with the title. Tonight, The Almighty once again earned the opportunity to win the title that has been synonymous with him in the past.
Tonight’s edition of WWE RAW featured a six-pack elimination match between Lashley, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, and Baron Corbin to determine the number one contender for Austin Theory’s United States Championship.
The Miz was the first superstar to be curb stomped from the match. The A-lister had Ziggler locked in a figure four but fell to Rollins’ finisher. The Visionary next eliminated Ziggler with a pedigree. He eliminated Finn Balor as well.
The match went down to Lashley, Rollins and Corbin. The Almighty eliminated Corbin with a spear. Lashley then confronted Omos and MVP, who had come to the ring to scout The Almighty. Lashley picked up the win after he hit Rollins with a spear.
