WWE saw a lot of changes over the past week or so, mainly Stephanie McMahon stepping down as the company’s co-CEO after Vince McMahon’s return. Nick Khan is running WWE’s day-to-day operations as the company’s only CEO now, but it turns out that Stephanie McMahon might have also had a surgery scheduled anyway that would have taken her out of commission.

Stephanie McMahon’s departure from WWE was not a leave this time, because it was a full resignation. She went from acting as the company’s Chief Brand Officer to co-CEO, and now she is focusing on herself.

Stephanie McMahon logged onto Twitter to let fans know that she just went under the knife. After resigning from WWE, it looks like McMahon had some work done to her ankle. She posted a thank you to her doctor for taking care of her while noting that she is starting a road to recovery

Busy week! Thank you Dr. Waldrop, @AndrewsSportMed and the Orthopedic Center Staff for fixing my ankle! And to Kevin Wilk @ChampionSportsM for already getting me started on rehab! (And of course to my amazing caregiver @TripleH ) #RoadtoRecovery

This was quite a busy week for Stephanie McMahon. Hopefully, the Billion Dollar Princess will get back on her feet soon, so she can continue whatever life holds for her after WWE.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
