WWE is preparing fans for January 28th’s Royal Rumble event, and San Antonio’s Alamodome is set to get a massive show. Triple H could still be in charge of the company’s creative direction at that point, because there are still no signs that Vince McMahon is going to take over in that regard yet. That being said, please prepare yourself for big spoilers ahead.

According to a new report from PW Insider, Edge is “penciled in” to make his return to the company at the Royal Rumble event. It was not noted exactly how the Rated R Superstar will be used.

Since we’ve been asked about his potential return for some time, PWInsider.com is told that Edge is penciled in to return at the WWE Royal Rumble PPV.

Edge was last seen at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in October, where he lost to Finn Balor in an I Quit Match. Now that WWE is hitting the road to WrestleMania again, Edge’s return could put him in line for a big match at the show of shows.

It was reported that Beth Phoenix is “also slated for the Rumble.” Her return to WWE could really shake up the division, if the company can keep her around. Either way, she could certainly help Edge combat the Judgment Day and their Rhea Ripley problem.

Edge and Beth Phoenix’s returns are only the start. It was also noted that Doudrop is slated to be at the event.

The word making the rounds at TV this week was that Doudrop would be back around that time as well, returning to the Raw brand.  She noted recently online that she’s been away for an extended period due to an illness.

It was also noted that, “Logan Paul is absolutely being talked about in regard to an appearance at the Rumble as well, as long as his knee is rehabbed, and he’s ready to go.” Obviously, Logan Paul’s recent Cryptozoo scandal doesn’t phase WWE’s booking plans.

We will have to see how it all goes down when the Royal Rumble takes place. Until then, please keep checking back with Ringside News for your best source of pro wrestling news.
