AEW is the destination for a lot of talented performers. Sometimes you can also spot a famous face or two in the crowd. This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite came from LA, and there was no shortage of notable people in attendance.

Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters had a decent time in the company, but he’s been on the indies for years now. He was released by WWE in 2007 before returning for a second, shorter, run in 2009. That being said, Chris Masters is currently on the indies and enjoys it as well. It seems he was also spotted during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Chris Masters changed his ring name to Chris Adonis after his WWE release, and he has been competing all over the world with that name. He also became the NWA National Heavyweight Champion on two different occasions.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF flew off the handle and blasted Freddie Prinze Jr and Ken Jeong. MJF spared no mercy to either, brutally roasting them in the process. He missed another notable face in the crowd.

The AEW cameras panned across the front row, which revealed that Chris Masters was in attendance. However, the company failed to acknowledge him in any way. That being said, some fans recognized him already.

Chris Masters took to Twitter and uploaded a video of himself sitting ringside during MJF’s promo, as he came to watch the show as a fan.

“I’m at AEW Dynamite as a fan.”

Apart from his WWE and NWA run, Chris Masters was also part of TNA/Impact Wrestling from 2015 to 2018. He also hinted at returning during the Royal Rumble this year, so we’ll have to see whether the Masterpiece will end up returning to the WWE later this month.
