CM Punk’s run in WWE came to a shocking conclusion after the Royal Rumble in 2014 when he was frustrated with the company, leading him to simply walk out. He didn’t compete in a ring for seven years until his AEW debut back in 2021,but now it seems like another long hiatus started after his Brawl Out suspension. Many have an opinion of Punk, but he was recently given props for being able to walk out of pro wrestling.

CM Punk was the subject of controversy earlier last year, and things took a turn after the brawl after AEW All Out. Since then, fans have wondered whether Punk will leave AEW and somehow return to WWE.

Regardless, CM Punk walking out of professional wrestling for seven years will always remain a topic worth discussing for many people. Some understood his reason while others just wanted to see him wrestle.

While speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy Long explained that not all wrestlers enjoy the privilege of speaking their minds as Punk does. He then gave Punk props for being able to walk out of pro wrestling.

CM Punk was no druggie. He was no alcoholic guy. He saved his money. He owns a bunch of apartment buildings in Chicago. So, CM Punk is a guy that could do that because he could walk away from the business and it wouldn’t faze him at all.”

CM Punk is also back at the gym while he still recovers from surgery. Only time will tell whether CM Punk will be making his return to AEW television.
