Belief That Mercedes Mone Going To AEW Would Have ‘A Similar Feel To Cody Rhodes’

Sasha Banks became a highly talked about figure in the world of professional wrestling last year when she left WWE. After much speculation and anticipation, she finally made her debut as Mercedes Mone in NJPW. However, some people still believe that Mone will eventually make her way to AEW. Matt Hardy has even suggested that Mone’s potential move to AEW would be similar to Cody Rhodes’ decision to join the company.

Sasha Banks made her shocking debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where she debuted as ‘The CEO’ Mercedes Mone. She immediately decked KAIRI and made her intentions clear.

Many people still believe that Mercedes Mone could be debuting in AEW due to the relationship between AEW and NJPW. While speaking on the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy stated that he believes Mercedes Mone debuting in AEW would be similar to what Cody Rhodes did by leaving AEW and going back to WWE.

Her coming in to AEW would be a big deal. I feel in some ways, it would be very similar to almost like Cody situation in some ways. It’s like a huge jump; left WWE and came to AEW. It would have that feel.”

Paul Wight also believes Mercedes Mone would be tremendous asset to AEW. We’ll have to see if Mone will end up debuting in AEW soon, as fans would certainly love that.
