Jim Ross is a WWE Hall of Famer and was the voice of several generations of fans, as he gave many years of his life to the business. Ross has been part of several iconic moments in professional wrestling, and he continues to be respected even now. That being said, Ross is showing his age and due to this, fans simply want him to retire. However, it seems Ross decided to fire back at fans who want him to retire.

Jim Ross is human at the end of the day and is prone to making mistakes. He has made some particularly bad blunders and gotten a lot of hate for it online. This includes calling Jon Moxley the ‘WWE Champion’ and also saying ‘WWE Dynamite’ at one time.

Jim Ross also previously called Claudio Castagnoli by his WWE name, Cesaro.. Due to all these blunders, fans want him to retire. While speaking on a recent episode of his Grilling JR Podcast, im Ross deicded to fire back at fans who want him to retire and made it clear he will will retire of his own accord.

“I read about it every day. When is JR Going to quit? When is JR going to get off Wednesday, I gotta get off the air. Well, you know, I got no timeline on this thing. I know when my agreement with Tony Khan is up.

But does that mean I’m not going to continue? No. Does that mean that I’m going to, at that point, make the final decision that, hey, this is I’ve had enough, I’m tapping, I want to work less hours, I’m going to work less travel,

I’m not going to fly every week, whatever it may be, it’s still to be determined. But you’re the older you get, and you don’t pass up on those opportunities.”

It is likely good ol’ JR still has enough left in the tank to keep on providing commentary in AEW for a long enough time. We’ll have to see when Ross will finally end his career.

What’s your take on Jim Ross as AEW’s commentator? Sound off in the comments!
