Sasha Banks debuted in WWE NXT back in 2012 and in just three years, she became a big star there. However, her time in WWE came to an abrupt end after she walked out in the middle of WWE Raw back in May. Thanks to the new year, Sasha Banks is a free agent.

The Boss is no longer a WWE Superstar. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reminded fans that Banks’ WWE contract was set to expire on New Year’s Eve 2022. If that’s the case, Sasha Banks is no longer Sasha Banks, which is why she trademarked Mercedes Mone.

Good morning. Mercedes Varnado is free to take wrestling bookings

If Banks wrestles again, she will use her true name, Mercedes Varnado, or Mone Varnado, a trademark she registered over the holidays. Banks reportedly agreed to leave the company at some time during the summer. Her most recent contract didn’t expire until the end of the year, hence her inability to show up elsewhere until now.

Aside from the fact that Banks appears to be done with WWE, the former Women’s Champion tweeted a not-so-subtle message implying she’s on the verge of a fresh beginning. She is expected to appear at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4th.

The Boss tweeted a photo of a billboard advising people not to be frightened to start anew, which she may do in only two days. You can check out the tweets below.
