WWE has many legends that they could call for a one-off match, especially during something like the Royal Rumble. Of course, that doesn’t mean everyone is game to take the opportunity.

Ricky Steamboat’s decision to retire from the WWE came after a successful and storied career that spanned over three decades. He is a multiple-time champion and one of the most respected and beloved wrestlers in the industry. His absence from the Royal Rumble event, where he has not competed in 13 years, will be a disappointment to many fans.

We’ll have to see if Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat returns to WWE for any match at all. He seems very content in his retirement at this juncture, and a Royal Rumble spot doesn’t seem to interest him much.
