WWE Nixes Long Term WrestleMania Plan For Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey is currently enjoying a ride as a heel on SmackDown. As women’s champion, Rousey has Shayna Baszler by her side, and now the company is going a different direction with her expected WrestleMania match.

Becky Lynch has remained one of the top attractions of WWE television for the past few years now. Lynch was also involved in some of the most iconic moments in recent history, which also includes her feud with Ronda Rousey. Many fans were under the belief that Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch were destined to duke it out at WrestleMania 39 next year, as the story writes itself. However, it seems WWE has no plans for that match to happen next year.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey are certainly no strangers to each other. This is because they were engaged in a longstanding feud that never stopped, even after Rousey was absent from WWE.

With Ronda Rousey being the Smackdown Women’s Champion and Becky Lynch finally back to begin an active in-ring competitor, many fans have started wondering whether WWE will book a match between the two for WrestleMania 39. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE has no plans for that match to take place next year.

Right now that is not the plan. The rotation is in different places. I don’t know what Ronda or Becky’s match is. But, as of today, this morning, it was said to me that it was very unlikely. It’s definitely not the plan right now.

Fans would love to see Becky Lynch square off against Ronda Rousey at the Show of Shows next year, but it seems that match may no longer become a reality. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for the two Superstars at WrestleMania 39.
