The pro wrestling world is mourning the passing of former Impact Wrestling commentator Don West. The 59-year-old passed away earlier in the day after a lengthy battle with lymphoma. WWE paid tribute to the late, great wrestling personality as well.

Michael Cole offered his condolences to the family of Don West during the live broadcast of SmackDown this week. The WWE commentator remembered West while calling Solo Sikoa’s match against Sheamus on the blue brand tonight.

“I would like to offer my condolences here tonight to wrestling commentator Don West’s family. Don passed away earlier today. A man who made a true impact on the business. Godspeed to Mr. West.”

Don West’s longtime partner Mike Tenay took to Twitter earlier today and officially broke the news that Don West had passed away. West’s wife had relayed the unfortunate news to Tenay. Impact Wrestling remembered West following his passing as well.
