Batista’s Ex-Wife Was Banned From Attending Events

Batista has emerged to become bona fide Hollywood megastar, ever since he transitioned from the world of professional wrestling. However, an interesting story has been revealed by a wrestling veteran that Batista’s ex-wife was banned from attending WWE shows.

Batista carved out a successful career in WWE, reigning as one of the main event attractions during his time. He became a 6-time World champion and was even announced to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2020. However, The Animal chose to accept the honor at a later date in front of a large audience.

Pro wrestling veteran Kenny Bolin recently revealed that he banned Batista’s ex-wife Angie from attending OVW shows. At the time, Batista was an upcoming star in the making, and Jim Cornette, the promotion’s booker, did not want his perceived heel prospect to receive cheers. Bolin spoke about this on Rene Dupree’s Cafe de Rene podcast.

“She actually got banned from OVW. Jimmy banned her. He banned her because she was cheering for the heel.”

Batista married Angie in 1998. The couple has a son together named Oliver. Batista also had to threaten Kenny Bolin over hitting on her during his time in OVW. Their marriage lasted until 2006, when they decided to go their separate ways.
