Santos Escobar had been hanging his banner at NXT, as he made a name for himself as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion for a long time until his eventual main roster call-up. Alongside his Legado Del Fantasma family, Escobar has become a mainstay of Friday Night Smackdown. Escobar also had an injury scare during the WWE MSG event this week, but it seems he is doing okay.

Santos Escobar faced off against Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Shinsuke Nakamura, and GUNTHER for his Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match at the WWE post-Christmas holiday tour in Madison Square Garden.

During the match, Escobar suffered a scary bump after Kofi Kingston landed hard on Escobar’s knee after hitting him with a double stomp from the top of the ladder. Escobar needed help to walk after the match.

Naturally, fans were very worried about his well-being and whether Escobar suffered any sort of injury. According to PWInsider, Santos Escobar is doing okay after taking that hard bump.

For the many of you who have asked, we are told that WWE’s Santos Escobar is OK after taking a hard bump during the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at Madison Square Garden.

As we noted in my live report, WWE medical checked on him immediately and he walked out under his own power with Jamie Noble assisting after the match.

We are certainly glad that Santos Escobar did not suffer any serious injury from that scary spot. Now it remains to be seen what the company has planned for the Legado Del Fantasma member next
