Diamond Dallas Page joined WWE in 2001 after nearly decade in WCW. He was with WWE for about a year before leaving in June 2002. In his first appearance on Monday Night RAW, the 66-year-old squared off against The Undertaker in a Street Fight.

Disco Inferno, a WWE veteran, recently revealed that Diamond Dallas Paige got into issues with The Undertaker backstage for writing down his matches. Disco Inferno discussed DDP getting into problems with The Undertaker before their match because he loved to write down his matches during the latest episode of the Keepin’ It 100 podcast.

DDP wrote down his match after Triple H told him not to, and The Undertaker saw it. The story goes that Taker wasn’t happy, so he wadded up the paper and threw it away. Old school guys don’t want evidence that their matches have any planning to them at all, and this rubbed the Phenom the wrong way.

He went to WWE and he was going to be wrestling with ‘Taker and he had the match like written out on paper. Hunter told him, ‘do not show that to ‘Taker,’ showed it to ‘Taker anyway. And the famous story is ‘Taker saw it, crumbled it up, and threw it in the garbage. Because like, these old school guys weren’t like wanted their match written down top to bottom, you know, and Page didn’t get that.
