Since AEW ‘s inception, the company hasn’t hesitated to hire ex-WWE talent. Most of the top guys on the roster have been ex-WWE guys. Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Adam Cole all joined AEW from WWE.

However, recently, news broke that AEW were signing Michael Mansbury. Mansbury used worked at WWE from 2009-2020, and many people within the company believed that he would be the next Kevin Dunn. He served as Vice President of Global Television Production before leaving the company.

It was reported that AEW has signed Michael Mansbury as Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer. Mansbury was even backstage for AEW Winter is Coming show. However, Fightful Select is reporting that Mansbury hasn’t started working for the company.

Michael Mansbury joining AEW should help bolster the company’s production and bring it on par with WWE. It will be interesting to see what change he brings to the production. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep you updated on this story.
