All Elite Wrestling came in with the vision to change the game in the wrestling business. A blend of wrestling and sports entertainment, many have claimed that All Elite has a bright future ahead of them. Despite many turbulent incidents this year, the morale has been up backstage.

AEW was founded by Tony Khan in 2019, who had been a vivid fan of pro wrestling, with the financial backing of his father, Shahid Khan, who has also invested in many other sports. Tony Khan assumed the duties of AEW President, General Manager, and Head of Creative, bringing in top-tier talent from all over the world and making AEW a direct competitor to the global juggernaut, WWE.

This year has seen major backstage incidents tarnishing AEW’s brand image, such as the famous All Out media scrum featuring CM Punk and The Elite or a backstage altercation between Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Gueverra. Despite such situations, many people backstage have positive things to say about the direction of the company and morale among members of the roster, according to a recent report behind Fightful.

“Fightful Select has heard from several members of the AEW locker room who have had positive things to say about the morale and direction of said locker room of late.”

AEW is looking to move in a completely new direction, starting next year. One of them will be shifting the focus of starting live events, with Wrestling Legend Jeff Jarrett assuming the duties as Senior Vice President of live events, bringing a makeshift change after the company has only been producing televised and pay-per-view shows.
