William Regal was involved in a major angle with MJF, but nobody expected that to be his final appearance in AEW. The Englishman appeared during Dynamite this week just a week after his exit from the promotion.

William Regal appeared in a pre-taped interview with Tony Schiavone during Dynamite this week. The pro wrestling veteran explained his reason for costing Jon Moxley the AEW World Championship at Full Gear.

Regal told Schiavone he took great exception to what MJF did to him, so he gave the Devil Himself what he wanted. The Englishman said he left Blackpool Combat Club because he felt the group no longer needed him.

Tony Khan recently said that William Regal’s WWE deal includes coaching aspects, but he will not be an on-air talent for the Stamford-based promotion. Tony Khan also revealed that he was surprised by Triple H’s tweet about Regal from November
