Zelina Vega made her WWE return back in 2021 after she was initially released by the company. She came back with a lot of hype surrounding her, but it didn’t amount to much at first. Vega is now a major part of WWE television, and even Triple H and Stephanie McMahon trust her a lot.
Following a long absence due to injury, Zelina Vega returned on a previous episode of Smackdown, where she came back alongside Legado Del Fantasma. That move surprised lot of people, because Vega took Elektra Lopez’s spot.
Zelina Vega is currently the faction’s mouthpiece and has been doing well in her role. While speaking on the That’s Dope podcast, Vega noted that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon trust her to cut her own promos.
When it comes to me because they’ve [Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and Stephanie McMahon] known me for a while, it’s like, ‘Hey we can already trust you on the microphone you’re not gonna say anything that’s gonna get us in trouble. You’re gonna keep to your character, so here’s the skeleton of what we need from you and just fill in the meat.’ So that’s kinda how it goes.”
It remains to be seen how Zelina Vega fares as the mouthpiece for Legado Del Fantasma. For the time being, she is enjoying her time on the blue brand. Perhaps WWE will have something huge planned for her in the future.
