Ricky Starks showed off plenty of charisma during his alliance with Team Taz. The former FTW Champion became a fan favorite after his alliance with Powerhouse Hobbs dissolved. Tonight, Starks became the number one contender to the richest prize in AEW.

Ricky Starks took on Ethan Page in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament final during Dynamite tonight. Starks was covered in tapes for his match match All Ego. In storyline, Starks had suffered an injury at the hands of Lance Archer in the buildup to the finals.

The former Team Taz member’s condition worsened during the tournament semifinals against Brian Cage at the Full Gear pay-per-view event this past Saturday. Starks showed a lot of grit in the semifinals and finals. Starks won tonight’s match with a third spear.

Starks will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at Winter is Coming in Dallas on December 14, 2022. Check out his big win against Ethan Page here:
