Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the more entertaining acts in the Attitude Era. Although he was over with the fans, he wasn’t pushed or involved in any major storylines. So many years after leaving WWE, Scotty 2 Hotty has landed himself in some trouble.

Scotty 2 Hotty recently took to Twitter to state that he will not be participating in any intergender matches while also stating that it has to do with the fact that he has a 20-year-old daughter. The former WWE superstar’s comments angered some people and the backlash drove him to delete his Twitter account. As of writing this article, his Twitter account doesn’t exist.

“Dear promoters. I DO NOT ‘fight’ women. I’m 49 & have a 20 year old daughter. ‘Hurting’ women isn’t appealing to me. I understand that there are men that do it these days. It’s just not my thing. If that makes me old or out of touch, I’ll take it. Please stop trying to book it.”

During his WWE tenure, Scotty 2 Hotty wrestled Linda Miles and Chyna which he addressed in a follow-up tweet stating that it was a different time and place and he wasn’t a father.

“Also, before my matches from 20+ years ago with Linda Miles, Chyna, or any other women are brought up, I know what I did. It was a different time, a different place, & I wasn’t a father to a 20 yr old daughter.”

While his comments came from a good place, it is easy to understand how they could’ve been misunderstood. Naturally, fans ratioed him, as they tend to do on the social media cesspool known as Twitter.

We really hope the backlash settles, and he is able to rejoin Twitter again soon. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep you updated on this story.
