Sarah Logan made surprise return along with Erik and Ivar (collectively known as the Viking Raiders) on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown destroying a handful of superstars. However, an impactful return for Sarah Logan was slightly overshadowed by a gimmick ripped off former AEW and indie star Max Impaler.
Sarah Logan made her initial WWE debut back in 2017 alongside Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan as a part of the Riott Squad. The faction was a cohesive unit for the next few years. However, the stable disbanded after Sarah Logan was released and stepped away from professional wrestling in 2020 and Ruby was released and jumped ship to AEW in 2021.
The former Riott Squad member’s return on SmackDown saw her revealed after vignettes appeared for weeks promoting their appearance. The group attacked Legado del Fantasma and Hit Row before a scheduled match between Zelina Vega and B-Fab, with Sarah Logan taking out B-Fab to end the segment.
Fans could not help but notice Sarah’s appearance to be very much similar with indie star Max the Impaler. Max made her name on the independent circuit and had a very brief stint at AEW. Sarah Logan’s new character saw a striking resemblance with Max the Impaler with the fans blasting Logan over her new gimmick calling it a 100% ripoff on Twitter.
“Sarah Logan just stole Max The Impaler’s whole look… this is why u need to be careful abt ur look, ur bloody gimmick, ur catchphrases.. trademark.. because there r untalented ppl out there who r there to rip u off at every juncture”
“Damn so the just straight up stole Max The Impaler’s look and gave it to Sarah Logan. Smfh.”
“Anyone who knows the history of Vikings or even saw Max the Impaler…knows Sarah Logan is NOT doing black face… HOWEVER…. It’s the Bugaloo Boys post that will ALWAYS be etched in our brains so everything she does will be under a microscope. That’s just the truth.”
“LOL Logan stole Max The Impaler’s look.”
The Viking Raiders and Sarah Logan are the latest superstars to return under Triple H’s creative regime who are looking to move forward as a unit. With their recent actions, it seems like they could be involved in a feud with the members of Hit Row and Legado del Fantasma. Only time will tell what’s next, but fans certainly noticed something familiar about Sarah Logan’s new gimmick.
