Lacey Evans was part of a six-pack challenge to determine the next challenger to SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. The former U.S. Marine took the pin on what was the Veteran’s Day edition of SmackDown. It appeared that WWE wanted to send a message with the particular spot.

WWE cameras caught up with Lacey Evans backstage after the devastating loss. Cathy Kelley asked the SmackDown star to comment on what could’ve a career-defining moment for her, had she not fell short of seizing the opportunity. Evans had a strong-worded response.

“I have done everything that I’ve needed to do to not only get my foot in this door but get opportunities. The glitz, the glamor, and every time I’ve come up short. Do you what it is because I’ve got complacent in this lifestyle. I got comfortable. And to be honest with you, I have went out of my way to please every body by myself. It’s time to go back to basics.”
