Maria Kanellis is best recognized for her stint with Impact Wrestling and WWE, but now she is with AEW under the ROH brand. Maria recently highlighted an incident with Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice and one regret she has from the experience.

More than a decade later, Maria Kanellis has no remorse regarding the reason she was let go from The Celebrity Apprentice. Kanellis was removed from the reality game show in Season 3 by host Donald Trump for bringing up a contestant who had used her team’s restroom.

On this week’s episode of NBC’s Ten Count podcast, she talked openly about the incident. Kanellis laughed at the former American president’s ironic phraseology, using it to minimize his own controversial Access Hollywood remarks.

“He called it locker room talk. I thought it was intriguing. I was like, hm, interesting. That’s an interesting phrase to use.”

“I think the only thing I regret about the experience is apologizing for the way that I talked, because I don’t regret it at all. I don’t regret bringing something up that was supposed to be funny and it wasn’t taken that way. But why, as a woman, am I not allowed to talk that way? The only thing I regret is apologizing for it after the fact. They wanted me to apologize on the finale and I was pressured to apologize and so I did, but ever since then I’m like, why? Why did I apologize?”

“I didn’t do anything wrong. I won every single challenge that I was the head of. Every time I was a part of some project we were doing, it was successful. So, there was no reason for him to fire me other than I wasn’t the most famous person on the show.”

Later, Kanellis claimed, she was “pressured” into making apologies in the season finale. Obviously, she never forgot about the experience.

The longtime WWE star said she was delighted about the experience overall, raising more than $1 million for charity. What do you think about the situation? Let us know in the comments. For further updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
