NJPW Fooled By Online Prank With Fantasy Matchup For AEW All-Atlantic Title

The internet is a place for wrestling fans to share and talk about their fantasy booking but every once in a while the supposed dream matches get the attention of actual companies. That is what happened when a fan tweeted a fantasy match up.

A Twitter user @Toms_Customs tweeted a graphic of an All-Atlantic Championship match between Orange Cassidy and Minoru Suzuki. The fan graphic got the attention of New Japan Pro Wrestling, which retweeted without realizing that was a fan made poster.

Even Minoru Suzuki retweeted the fantasy matchup. It appears that the NJPW veteran wants a shot against Orange Cassidy’s All-Atlantic Championship. Minoru Suzuki last held the ROH World Television Championship in AEW. He dropped the title to Samoa Joe during previous episode of Dynamite.

Orange Cassidy will team up with Best Friends to take on The Death Triangle for the AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship this Tuesday on Dynamite. Who knows Tony Khan might book Minoru Suzuki as Orange Cassidy’s first challenge for the title.
