Sheamus has had a resurgence in his career recently. His matches have been absolutely brutal, and he has been able to get over with the fans. In fact, WWE Clash at the Castle was the first time that Sheamus received that kind of reaction from the crowd despite losing the match.
The Celtic Warrior’s feud with Gunther and Imperium has been one of the best storylines in WWE at the moment. Although Sheamus came up short against Gunther at Clash at the Castle, his recent victory over Imperium at WWE Extreme Rules 2020 has earned him another opportunity at the only title that has eluded him.
It was announced earlier that Sheamus will take on Ricochet, Solo Sikoa, and Karrion Kross in a Fatal 4-Way IC Title Contender Match to determine who will be next in line to challenge Gunther for the IC Title.
Immediately following the announcement, Sheamus took to Twitter to send a stern warning to his opponents ahead of their match on SmackDown.
“Get between me & the #ICTitle lads, i’ll remove everyone of yer heads. #brogue,” tweeted Sheamus.
Although all the participants in the match can win on any given night, it looks like Sheamus might emerge victorious given that he still has unfinished business with Gunther. This will also be a good way for WWE to progress the storyline.
