Bobby Lashley worked hard to make himself one of the most dependable stars in WWE. He is a two-time WWE Champion and a true veteran in the pro wrestling world. WWE also wanted to keep him strong for a good reason
The two-time WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, held the United States Champion for over 100 days, which led fans to believe that he would remain the champion for long time.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Brock Lesnar made his shocking return and destroyed Bobby Lashley. Right after that, Seth Rollins challenged Lashley for the United States Title.
In the end, Rollins defeated Lashley and became the new champion. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how WWE wanted to keep him strong before his feud with Brock Lesnar.
“They’re probably going to be wrestling at [Crown Jewel]. [Brock Lesnar] comes back for Saudi Arabia, so it made sense. The story there is that the first match they had, Bobby Lashley won–even though there was a lot of interference. So Brock does kind of have… he can go to get his win back. And Bobby Lashley is no longer US Champion. Seth Rollins is. So Brock doesn’t have to win a championship. It looks like Logan Paul and Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley as maybe the top two matches on [Crown Jewel].”
It is likely Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley will be feuding in the coming weeks, as we head towards Crown Jewel. We’ll have to see how it will be booked, because those two have a lot of unfinished business.
