The Good Brothers returned to WWE this week to align themselves with AJ Styles once again. The October 10th episode of the longest running weekly episodic television show in history was also the show’s season premiere, and they had a lot in store for fans. The fact is that the Good Brothers are a desirable commodity, and this return was a long time coming.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, WWE had interest in Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows when they were still under Impact Wrestling contract. The two were clear about their interest, especially during the end of their Impact Wrestling deals.

WWE had interest in them as early as this summer, when they were still under IMPACT Wrestling deals. The two were very transparent about the interest towards the end of their IMPACT wrestling contracts, which ended up going a month longer than expected.

It was also reported that, “Gallows and Anderson were committed to work with NJPW through Wrestle Kingdom. Last we heard, they did not have contracts.” This is an interesting situation, because Karl Anderson is the current NEVER Openweight Champion, a title he’s held for 121 days and counting.

We will have to see how things transpire for the OC and Judgement Day’s rivalry, but Anderson and Gallows’ return to WWE certainly adds an interesting dynamic to the situation.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
