NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 Main Event Confirmed

Kazuchika Okada is undoubtedly one of the best pro Wrestlers in the world right now and is the biggest name in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He is also determined to get back his title.

Okada lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Jay White earlier this year. Since then, he has been in hot pursuit of the title.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling confirmed that NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 will be headlined by Jay White defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against G1 Climax winner Kazuchika Okada.

It was made official during NJPW Declaration of Power in the closing segment. White had successfully defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Tama Tonga and was cutting his post-match promo when Okada entered the ring.

The bout was then made official for January 4, 2023 at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 at the Tokyo Dome. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning the match next year.
