Jim Ross is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, as he made a name for himself as a commentator in WWE. He has delivered some of the most iconic moments in the history of pro wrestling.

Being a veteran, Jim Ross is well aware of how the pro wrestling world functions and how certain things in AEW can be perceived. Fans also largely agree with what he has to say as well.

The company introduced their secondary show called Rampage last year. Since then, the show has served multiple purposes, especially when it comes to delivering solid matches.

While speaking on his ‘Grillin JR’ podcast’, Ross noted that the company is aiming to build a consistent and loyal audience with Rampage.

“Rampage is a high priority right now within the confines of AEW. We want to make this Friday night show good and build a loyal audience and I think we’re going to do that. I really do. I enjoy the opportunity. I did the show with Excalibur and Schiavone and I love it. Just loved it.

“We had so much fun. When you cut your roster of announcers down to three, everything becomes more manageable. You’re not driving in so much traffic. That was the goal there.”

Tony Khan certainly has a lot of things in store for his fans in the coming weeks, but turning AEW Rampage into live show might not be one of them.
