The AEW All Out media scrum took an unexpected turn after CM Punk went on a scathing rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, verbally obliterating everyone involved.

CM Punk was involved in a backstage brawl where he fought with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As previously reported, AEW suspended everyone involved in the brawl. It was even believed that Punk and Ace Steel were going to get fired.

WWE has also been reaching out to stars in AEW, such as Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews and others. While speaking on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Jim Cornette advised Triple H to sign AEW wrestlers amid all the backstage chaos in the company.

“There are all kinds of ways that you can find out when somebody’s contract is up, without an official of the company having to make an official inquiry. There’s all kinds of ways that you can let a guy know that ‘Boy we sure would like to have so and so if he wasn’t under contract to somebody else.’ So this seems to be the right time to play that game.

New guy in charge of WWE, not the demented billionaire that everybody was mad at. Combine that with the chaos backstage in the locker room and civil war in AEW, different camps, and people saying ‘well Godda*n we actually had something going and now the whole thing may have fallen apart because of the EVPs. So this is the right time for the WWE to find out just how many of those AEW guys really want to be there now.”

Eric Bischoff also recently blasted CM Punk for being bitter and brittle. He will also be out of action for a long time, well into next year because of the injury. We’ll have to wait and see whether things in AEW will change soon or not.
