Rhea Ripley did not take long to make herself one of the top Superstars in WWE’s women’s division. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion as well as RAW Women’s Champion, so Ripley already knows what it’s like being on top, in more ways than one. The Nightmare also took time to wish her boyfriend, Buddy Matthews, a very happy birthday today.
Buddy Matthews last competed at AEW Grand Slam, where he and Brody King lost to Darby Allin and Sting. It was said Matthews was leaving the company right after this. Interestingly enough, he denied it as well.
Ripley took to her Instagram and uploaded a photo of herself kissing Matthews’ head, as she wished her a happy birthday. Even AEW ended up wishing Matthews a happy birthday.

We will have to wait and see whether Buddy Matthews really will return to WWE or not, as he does have a big reason now. If anything, at least AEW was able to drop a Happy B-Day message to him as well.
