WWE Reached Out To Malakai Black While He Was Still Under AEW Contract

Malakai Black was released from WWE back in June last year, after a very disappointing stint on the main roster. When he debuted in AEW the month after that, thanks to a paperwork mistake on WWE’s part, and fans were simply elated to see him there.

He was the leader of the House Of Black alongside Brody King and Buddy Matthews and found some mild success for a while. As previously reported, AEW has given conditional release to Malakai Black, because of his own mental wellbeing.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Malakai Black was one of the first people WWE reached out to. This is despite the fact that Black was still under contract with AEW.

“What we do know is that Black was one of the people WWE reached out to even though he had signed a five-year deal with AEW.

Malakai Black wanted to go back to WWE before his release. We will have to wait and see what will become of Malakai Black and if he’ll return to WWE or not.
