Luther is one of the many veterans in AEW. The Original Death Dealer has been missing from AEW programming since May, after he was sidelined because of an injury. Now, he has a different role in Tony Khan’s company.

FIghtful Select reports that Luther had his hand in producing one of the matches in AEW Rampage: Grand Slam. In fact, Luther has been doing this for a while.

Many know about the coaches listed on the AEW roster — Jerry Lynn, Pat Buck, as well as Dean Malenko, Madison Rayne, and active wrestlers like QT Marshall, Ariya Daivari, among others. We’ve also learned of some more active wrestlers that have been helping out.

“The Original Death Dealer” Luther hasn’t competed in AEW since May when an injury sidelined him. However, he’s since been cleared and appeared earlier in September at SOS Cast Away. However, that’s not the only work he’s been doing. Fightful learned that he helped coach a match at AEW Rampage Grand Slam, and when we inquired, we were told he’d been doing that for quite some time.

Luther’s tag team partner Serpentico hasn’t been out of action, and actively competes on AEW Dark and Elevation. He’s also been helping coach matches, utilizing his 15 years of in ring experience to help out others on the roster.

Serpentico, Luther’s tag team partner, is still active on AEW Dark and Elevation matches. The star is also a coach, and he helps create matches as he uses his 15 years of in-ring experience to help the AEW roster grow.
